National Resource Center on Native American Aging

The NRCNAA's vision is to empower Native people to develop community based solutions. Rural health topics include (but are not limited to) dental health, aging, caregiving, community development, health reform, policy, and domestic violence.
Caregiving
Developed for States, Area Agencies on Aging, Aging and Disability Resource Centers, Tribal Organizations, and other local service providers within the National Aging Network, the Administration on Aging Care Transitions Toolkit is targeted to organizations that are interested in learning more about how to prepare their organization for a role in care transitions programs.
Nutrition & Exercise
Tools for Healthy Tribes was created through a partnership between the American Indian Healthy Eating Project and seven tribes. Using community-based participatory research, tribal leaders and members provided insight into their local food environment and the potential for community changes around healthy eating. The toolkit aims to provide tools and technical assistance to strengthen the capacity of tribal leaders to develop, implement, and evaluate community change around healthy eating and active living and to disseminate lessons learned to foster the translation of culturally appropriate, tribally led strategies to reduce American Indian health disparities nationwide.
Mental Health & Wellness
This toolkit that was developed by the Suicide Prevention Branch at SAMHSA/Center for Mental Health Services in order to promote emotional health and bring awareness to suicide prevention.
